Shinhan Financial is also actively supporting the global expansion and investment attraction of bio/health startups through Shinhan Square Bridge. In September of this year, Shinhan Financial attended the 'RESI Conference,' the world's largest bio conference held in Boston, USA. Through this, it provided programs for global expansion including overseas business partner discovery and investment attraction to 7 bio healthcare startups.
Among them, 'RudaCure,' a dry eye disease treatment developer that participated in the RESI Conference, won 3rd place in the Innovator's Pitch Challenge among 60 global participants. RudaCure also earned an opportunity to participate in the San Francisco investment attraction conference, the largest of its kind in the world.
In particular, given the tight bio/health investment market following the recent economic downturn and interest rate hikes, the plan is to proactively identify K-bio/health startups and support investment attraction to enable successful business expansion in both domestic and international markets.
