RudaCure donates 1 ton of winter feed to stray cat shelter

2025-12-29

RudaCure Inc., an ion channel-targeting bioventure specializing in novel drug development, donated 1 ton of feed to a local stray animal shelter at the end of the year, demonstrating its commitment to community support.

RudaCure announced on the 29th that it delivered 1 ton of cat-specific feed to 'Sansu Angels,' a stray animal shelter located in Namdong-gu, Incheon. This donation was carried out as part of the company's second-half 2025 corporate social responsibility activities.

What makes this donation particularly meaningful is that it was carried out after carefully assessing the shelter's actual needs. While dog food donations are relatively common, cat food is known to be in comparatively short supply. RudaCure reportedly identified these on-site challenges through preliminary research and decided to provide the much-needed cat food support.

A representative from 'Sansu Angels' expressed gratitude, saying, "Dog food donations are always plentiful, but cat food donations are relatively rare, making it difficult to secure enough feed during winter. Since they are a company that also develops animal pharmaceuticals, they precisely understood what our shelter needs and prepared food specifically for our cats, which will help us get through the cold winter."

RudaCure is a biotech company that develops both human and veterinary pharmaceuticals. The selection of this particular shelter and the type of donation appear to have been driven by the company's understanding of and interest in animal health.

Members of RudaCure's Efficacy Research Team who participated in the donation event said, "We are delighted to provide practical help to facilities in need in our local community," adding, "We will continue to carry out various CSR activities going forward."

An industry observer noted, "As ESG management practices expand among bio-pharmaceutical companies, more cases like RudaCure's are emerging—going beyond simple donations to providing customized support based on actual field needs. It is particularly noteworthy that a company developing animal pharmaceuticals is taking interest in and acting on stray animal welfare, serving as a great example of connecting business with social contribution."

RudaCure is a bioventure company developing innovative human and veterinary drugs based on its proprietary drug platform that modulates the TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1) ion channel. The company promotes sustainable management through various ESG activities, including community contributions and employee volunteer programs alongside business growth.

Earlier in the first half of the year, RudaCure conducted an employee blood donation campaign and plogging (environmental cleanup) activities, and in the second half expanded its social contribution scope to include stray animal welfare support. The company stated that it plans to continue various volunteer activities and donations in collaboration with the local community in 2026.
