RudaCure RCI001/HL262 Phase 1 poster presentation at the 2026 ACCP Annual Meeting

[Incheon] RudaCure, a drug discovery company targeting membrane proteins and ion channels, will present Phase 1 clinical results for its dry eye disease candidate RCI001/HL262 in a poster at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP), held September 27 to 29 in North Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

The poster is titled "Safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of RCI001/HL262 after single and multiple ophthalmic administrations." It reports the first-in-human evaluation of safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of RCI001/HL262 0.25% eye drops following single and multiple administrations in healthy adults.

The presentation is delivered by the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Seoul National University College of Medicine and Hospital. Yejin Cho is the first author, with Yoonjin Kim, Hyun Chul Kim, Kyung-Sang Yu and SeungHwan Lee as co-authors. The study was sponsored by RudaCure.

RCI001/HL262 is an ophthalmic formulation whose active ingredient is 8-oxo-2'-deoxyguanosine, a molecule that occurs endogenously. Nonclinical work has reported anti-inflammatory activity through inhibition of Rac1 (Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1), a small GTPase that regulates inflammatory responses and reactive oxygen species production.
