8-oxo-deoxyguanosine pharmaceutical composition for corneal damage treatment

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating corneal damage containing 8-oxo-2'-deoxyguanosine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. Specifically, when administered by eye drops in an ethanol-induced corneal damage mouse model, it was ultimately confirmed that corneal epithelial recovery (regeneration) was accelerated and corneal clarity was improved compared to the control group.
Thus, the 8-oxo-2'-deoxyguanosine of the present invention can be usefully used in the treatment of corneal damage.
