Incheon Technopark (IncheonTP) announced on the 1st that RudaCure, a participant in the 'Startup Leap Forward Package Support Program,' has achieved notable results including certifications and investment attraction in recognition of the program's excellence.

The 'Startup Leap Forward Package Support Program' is a program promoted by the Korea Startup Agency and IncheonTP with support from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Incheon Metropolitan City. It provides startup companies with commercialization funding, specialized programs, and investment linkage support.

RudaCure, a company developing treatments for dry eye disease and chronic pain, utilized the '2023 Startup Leap Forward Package Support Program' to verify the pain-relief efficacy of its therapeutics and assess the presence of abnormal fever side effects, thereby developing alternatives to narcotic and non-narcotic analgesics.

Through this, the company filed 3 overseas patents and obtained various certifications including Strong Small Enterprise, Performance-Sharing Company, and Talent Development SME. In November of last year, it participated in 'KIC Washington DC' and won 1st place in the IR Competition.

The company also demonstrated the excellence of its program by securing KRW 1.4 billion in investment during its participation in the support program, bringing cumulative Series B investment to KRW 3.4 billion.

RudaCure CEO Yongho Kim expressed his ambitions, saying, "Based on the PCT patent for the pain treatment 'RCI002' developed through the Startup Leap Forward Package support, we plan to secure intellectual property rights in multiple countries including Europe, China, and Latin America, and advance into the global market."
