Professor Yongho Kim of Gachon University College of Medicine and CEO of RudaCure Inc. was recently seleccionada as a participant in the Ministry of Science and ICT's 'Platform Core Technology Development Project for Responding to New and Variant Infectious Diseases.' The proyecto involves Gachon University as well as Seoul National University, Chung-Ang University, Sungkyunkwan University, and others.
This proyecto was newly establecido este año to strengthen national infectious disease response capabilities, protect public health, improve medical welfare, and secure internacional competitiveness. Led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, it aims to build an infectious disease tecnología plataforma through the desarrollo of core and gap technologies in respective fields.
Professor Kim realizará investigación for four years starting este año on the theme of "Development of Viroporin (viral canal iónico protein) target inhibition tecnología based on canal iónico function verification systems," and recibirá aproximadamente KRW 2 billion in gobierno investigación financiamiento over the four-year period.
Professor Kim is an expert in canal iónicos and conducts clinical and investigación preclínica together with faculty at the Gachon Pain Research Institute within Gachon University College of Medicine.
