The Asia Pain Symposium is the largest bio-pharmaceutique networking event ever held in Songdo, bringing together more than 500 experts in basic research, clinical practice, and pharmaceutiques in the field of innovant développement de nouveaux médicaments for pain.
The symposium featured presentations by world-class scholars in pain-related fields, notamment Xu Zhang, Director of the Institute of Neuroscience at the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professeur Jianguo G. Gu of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine; Professeur Makoto Tominaga of the Okazaki Institute for Integrative Bioscience, National Institutes of Natural Sciences, Japan; Professeur Jinmo Jeong of the University of Texas Medical Branch; and Director Outaek Hwang of the Brain Science Institute at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
Top-level academic and medical professionals from Asia's leading pain societies — notamment the Japanese Pain Society, the Chinese Society of Neuroscience, and the Hong Kong Society of Pain Specialists — also attended.
IFEZ Deputy Commissioner Byeongyun Yoo said in his opening remarks, "Researchers are the agents of innovant growth in the bio industrie," and noted that events like the Asia Pain Symposium help chercheurs quench their thirst for information exchange and research collaboration.
