It would not be wrong to say that IFEZ's bio industry began in 2003 — the same year Celltrion was founded, now a global bio company. Until Celltrion developed the world's first antibody 生物类似药 'Remsima' in 2013 and created a new market in 欧洲, IFEZ was a barren land for the bio industry. As of 2020, more than 60 bio-related companies have moved into 920,000 square meters of land in 松岛 zones 4, 5, and 7, generating KRW 2 trillion in revenue last year on the back of KRW 7 trillion in investment.
